Attention TCS Members:
As we had previously announced the 2021 Annual General Meeting for the Turkish Canadian Society will be held through Zoom at 7 pm on Sat. May 22nd (due to the Covid19 restrictions). As of 7 pm tonight 6 members (Ahmet Topal, Eyüp Can Demir, Hakan Özdemir, Selvi Akbay, Sertan Barış Aktaş, ve Sinem Şenol) have been nominated for the 5 Board positions which will become vacant. Because nominations exceed available positions the election portion of the AGM will be held between 1 pm and 6 pm on Sunday, May 23rd as previously announced. As of 7 pm today total number of voting members eligible to vote on Sunday is 62. The Quorum required for the Zoom meeting will be 16 members. We will send the Zoom link for the meeting, the agenda, our annual and financial reports to the voting members tomorrow.
