We are happy to announce the winner for our are March 18 Essay Competition. Based on rankings of our jury, Beyzanur Kuyuk received two 1st place, and two 2nd place rankings. With the highest total ranking she has won this year’s essay competition. We had essays both in English and Turkish. Those of our followers that don’t speak Turkish are in luck, because Beyzanur’s essay is in English. The essay competition was organized to commemorate the anniversary of Gallipoli and Dardanelles victories during WWI. Judges included Mr. Yusuf Halacoglu, former Director of the Turkish Historical Society, Mr. Bulent Ciftci, Education Attache of the Turkish Republic in Toronto, Mrs. Mualla Boluk, retired professor and Mrs. Selda Kartal, TCS Weekend School teacher.
